The University of New Mexico Presidential Scholarship is offered to selected incoming freshmen New Mexico residents with proven academic and citizenship skills as demonstrated in the classroom and positions of leadership. Students must apply during their senior year in high school. The award is valued at $8,431 each year and is renewable for four (4) years given that the student continues to meet the criteria.
Eligibility:-Graduating from a high school in New Mexico-Minimum of 31 on the ACT-Minimum of 3.9 GPA -Extracurricular participationEssay:1. Explain your plans for your college education, giving specific details that describe what led to your educational goals. (350 words or less)2. Explain the ways you have shown leadership in the past and how you expect to be a leader in the future. (350 words or less)3.
