UCF Races Volunteers Scholarship

The UCF Races Volunteers Scholarship was established in recognition of the team of volunteers who graciously donate their time and energy in support of the triathlon and running events organized by the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Funds raised from these events directly support the mission of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults and without the help of dedicated volunteers, the events would not be possible. As an expression of gratitude, this scholarship is now awarded in the name of these volunteers to a young adult impacted by cancer, either personally, or through the diagnosis of a loved one who also possesses the desire to give back to the community around them the way the UCF Races Volunteers do. Applicants must have been between the ages of 15 and 39 during their own diagnosis/treatment or during the diagnosis/treatment of their parent or sibling.Scholarship winners will be awarded a total of $2,500 over two academic semesters. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the scholarship recipient's school. Each scholarship winner is obligated to organize and run a bone marrow registry drive with the support of Delete Blood Cancer and There Goes My Hero. For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
