The Teagle Foundation Scholarship

The Teagle Foundation is a private foundation established in 1944 by Walter C. Teagle, longtime president and later chairman of the board of Standard Oil Company, now Exxon Mobil Corporation. Its assets are derived from gifts and bequests from Mr. Teagle, his wife and their son. The scholarship is based on academic merit. The programs covered are studies leading to a baccalaureate degree at an institution which offers that degree. These programs may be pursued at any accredited educational institution chartered in the United States or Canada, with the exception that the children of Imperial Oil Limited parents must attend and institution in the United States. A child of a person who is or has been employed by Exxon Mobil Corporation or one of its divisions, or by an ExxonMobil affiliate at least 50 percent owned by ExxonMobil, is eligible to apply.The dollar amount of each award to a winner is determined by International Scholarship and Tuition Services according to needs analysis procedures used by colleges and universities to award scholarships.
