The intent of this award is to enable students of academic excellence to continue to attend college who have been experiencing financial strain from having an immediate family member affected by cancer. Applicants must demonstrate proof of financial hardship in their responses to the essay prompts. Scholarship recipients will be awarded directly via their two or four-year institution and all scholarship money can be applied to tuition and room/board only. An official or unofficial transcript may be required on official letterhead from your university, with the most up to date grades from all semesters. Awards are limited to students studying at an institution with the expressed interest of obtaining an associate's or a bachelor's degree. Applicants must attend college in New Jersey and/or be residents of New Jersey. They must be U.S. citizens.
