The Frank L. Barrows & Frank L. Barrows II Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of the Frank L. Barrows and Frank L. Barrows II Memorial Scholarship is to honor the memories of Frank L. Barrows and Frank L Barrows II by awarding a college scholarship to a student from Eveleth-Gilbert Senior High School. The scholarship was created by Frank Jr's parents to memorialize the life of their son. The Barrows Scholarship is included in the Eveleth Area Community Foundation Fund's family of funds. For a student to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, he or she must be a senior at Eveleth-Gilbert Senior High School; shall have a minimum GPA of 3.0; and a relatively high level of financial need. Finally, s/he must intend to attend a two- or four-year college or technical school immediately after graduation from high school.
