The Douglas MacInnes ALS Scholarship

Steps for Doug, an ALS Foundation, provides a scholarship to a student (high school or college) who has been affected by ALS. If the student can communicate their connection to ALS and how it has influenced their life, Steps for Doug would like to help aid the financial burden of college. Steps for Doug is offering a $1,000 scholarship for two years of higher education (totaling $2,000 in aid). In order to receive the second year of financial aid, Steps for Doug would like the scholarship recipient to send their transcripts from the first year of the award. If the student maintains a full-time course load and a GPA above 3.0, Steps for Doug will award the second $1,000. The funds can be used for tuition and Steps for Doug will send the award directly to the institution of higher learning (including graduate school). This scholarship is in memory of Douglas MacInnes who passed away from ALS. Eligibility:-You must have been influenced by ALS at some point in your life-Must be a United States citizen-You must be a current high school senior, college freshman, or college sophomore-You must be accepted into an institution of higher education for the upcoming fall semester-For the duration of the award, you must be a full-time student-You must have a high school GPA of above 3.0-After your first year, you must provide official transcripts to Steps for Doug to qualify for your second awardFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
