The Armando J. de Moya Scholarship
The Foundation provides scholarships for students who are interested in the engineering and construction industries, who need financial support, tutoring, or employment support to succeed in preparing for competitive employment in the road and bridge construction industry.
The Foundation creates and supports programs and raises awareness for children and young adults with unique abilities and special needs and their families. Unique abilities and special needs include youth and their families who require various levels of support/facilitation to fully participate in programs funded by the Foundation. Specifically, these include children and youth with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), terminal illness, ADHD, behavioral and emotional changes, victims of abuse, and other disabilities. The Armando J. de Moya Scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil Engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville, who shows financial need, has completed a minimum of 59 credit hours, and needs financial support to complete their studies.Eligibility:-Maintain a 3.0 GPA at the University of Florida (UF)-Be a Florida resident-Be enrolled full-time during the fall and spring semesters-Be able to demonstrate financial need-Have at least 59 university credits -Major in civil engineering-Include most recent tax form, two letters of recommendation, transcript, copies of awards, and proof of volunteer workFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
