Students of The Year - North Carolina
The triangle area North Carolina Inaugural Students of the Year Campaign is a seven-week National initiative in which nominated high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Selection is based upon an application and interview process. Candidates will raise money in honor of an Honored Hero, someone who is currently battling or in remission from a blood cancer.
The candidate who raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks will be named the North Carolina Chapter's Student of the Year at the Grand Finale Celebration in early March. The Student of the Year will take home $2,500 in scholarship money. In addition, there are additional award opportunities for students who excel throughout the campaign.Who is eligible to participate: Local area high school students that are enthusiastic about philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership.For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
