Story of the Year Contest

Story Shares is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to inspiring reading practice and improving literacy skills. Our library is full of Relevant Reads - books that are both compelling and approachable for struggling teen and young adult readers. Submission guidelines:-Stories could range anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 words. Write short and well-spaced chapters. Avoid long, unbroken paragraphs. The goal is to generate compelling and approachable content for readers who are in middle school, high school, or older-As part of the Registration, registered users must submit a story designated under one of the following categories i) Diversity, ii) Historical Fiction, iii) Fantasy, iv) Horror/Suspense, or v) Teens by Teens Diversity: $3,000Historical Fiction: $500Fantasy: $500Horror/Suspense: $500Teens by Teens: $500For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
