Reading Community Singers

Reading Community Singers is a community chorus dedicated to sharing the love of music with people of all ages. As part of this commitment we support the advancement of music education by providing a scholarship to a student pursuing a career in music. Scholarship details and requirements:• The one-time award is for $1,000.• The application process is open to any graduating high school senior or full time undergraduate student pursuing a major or minor in music.• Applicants must reside in Reading or a town in the surrounding area.• The application must be postmarked no later than December 3rd.• Finalists will be notified by December 17th. • Finalists will perform a 10-15 minute audition on February 12th.• The winner of the RCS scholarship MUST perform at the RCS Spring Concert on May 6th, and at the dress rehearsal on May 5th, in order to receive the scholarship.
