Oakland University Critical Difference Scholarship

The Critical Difference Award is for single, head of household students who have had their education interrupted for at least one year. Eligibility:-Be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at OU and have completed 16 credit hours at OU or transferred16 credit hours from any post-secondary institution-Maintaining an overall GPA of at least 2.5-Provide an unofficial transcript of grades and resume-Must be a single head-of-household, as defined by IRS Tax Code (You are unmarried or "considered unmarried" on the last day of the year, you paid more than half of the cost of keeping up a home for the year, A "qualifying person" lived with you in the home for more than half the year)-Scholarship is open to full and part-time students-College education must have been interrupted at some point for a period of at least one year-Scholarship may be concurrent with other scholarship awards (may affect financial aid package)-There is no residency requirementFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website. -Must submit a letter explaining how this scholarship would make a critical difference in the academic year-Must obtain one written recommendation from a former instructor, faculty member, dean or employer-Recipients of this scholarship may reapply for consideration in succeeding yearFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
