North Texas Students of the Year
The North Texas Inaugural Student of the Year Campaign is a six-week National initiative in which nominated high school students participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Selection is based upon an application and interview process. Candidates will raise money in honor of an Honored Hero, someone who is currently battling or in remission from a blood cancer.
The candidate who raises the most money at the end of the six weeks will be named the North Texas Chapter's Student of the Year at the Grand Finale Celebration in March. The Student of the Year will take home a minimum of $5,000 in scholarship money. In addition, there are additional scholarship opportunities for students who excel throughout the campaign.Eligibility: Local area high school students that are enthusiastic about philanthropy, community outreach, and leadership.
