Lloyd E. and Rachel S. Collins Scholarship

The Lloyd E. and Rachel S. Collins Scholarship was established in 1991 by former students of Lloyd E. Collins in honor of Mr. Collins' dedication to education through his service as a teacher, principal, and member of the Stokes County Schools' Board of Education for 50 years. The scholarship may provide a renewable award for worthy graduating high school seniors from North, South, and West Stokes High Schools who will attend an accredited two or four-year college or university. Scholarships will be applied to the cost of undergraduate tuition, fees, on-campus room and board, books and other college expenses. To receive consideration, applicants must: -Be graduating high school seniors attending North Stokes High School, South Stokes High School, or West Stokes High School -Have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 and a transcript reflecting a challenging course selection -Demonstrate good character, school service, and community service -Demonstrate financial need, but not restricted to lower incomes (student's financial need and merit will be equally weighted)For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
