Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship

Liberty Power, the nation's largest owner-operated retail electric supplier, is proud to announce the launch of the 4th annual Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship. The scholarship is an ongoing collaboration between Liberty Power and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation. This partnership is focused on providing a collective $100,000 in scholarships over the course of five (5) years to eligible college students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education with an interest in seeking careers in the fields of energy or the environment. This year the Bright Horizons Scholarship will award a total of $20,000 in the form of three scholarships valued at $10,000, $6,000, and $4,000. Students who are currently studying STEM at an accredited two or four-year university with an interest in the field of energy or the environment are welcome to apply.The winners of the Bright Horizons Scholarship will be announced at the USHCC National Convention on October 9-11 in Miami, Florida. Winning students must be able to travel to the convention. Eligibility:-Students who are currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year public or private university in the United States-Students who have completed at least one full semester of college-Students who are pursuing a degree related to science, technology, mathematics, or engineering (STEM fields). We are looking for students who have an interest in energy and the environment-Students must be 18 years old by October 8 / prior to date of travel to the USHCC Annual Convention-Students must be able to prove they are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident-Students must have the ability to travel to Miami, Florida on October 9-11-Students must submit a signed release allowing Liberty Power the right to use their submitted application materials for public and promotional purposes (personal/family and financial references will not be used)Finalists only:-Must submit a headshot-Must provide an official picture ID (driver's license, state ID, passport)-Must agree to a background check-Must submit their official school transcript (electronic version accepted)-Must complete one additional essay questionFor more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
