Joe Hornsby III Scholarship

Joe Hornsby III believed in education and he supported students in local schools by encouraging them to obtain a higher education. Created in 2009, The Joe Hornsby III Scholarship will focus specifically on students who have special needs and want to further their education at a college/university or trade school. Applicants must: -Be a graduating senior of a high school in Mesquite Independent School District-Be planning to attend or be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college, university or technical training program-Have had at least a "C" average during high school (2.0 GPA)(Priority will be given to students with special needs, visual impairment, physical disabilities, autism or Asperger syndrome)For more information and to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
