Growing Pains High School Video Competition

Movie makers, here's your chance to spread awareness about an important issue. The U.S. is under huge pressure from population growth. Our wildlife and unique environmental treasures are threatened. Limited water resources are running dry, schools are crowded, and traffic keeps getting worse. Overpopulation is a tough issue, but we need you to be up to the challenge. Spread awareness by making a video that helps others understand the challenges of overpopulation, and present your solutions. You could help make a difference, and win some great prizes in the process.Students must have been enrolled in a high school when the film was completed. Films must have been completed within a year of submission. So, a college freshman, who finished their film during their senior year, could also submit. Films must be in English or subtitled in English. All non-fiction works, other than news spot features, will be considered documentaries. Stop action, 2-D, and 3-D animations will be judged in the same category. Multiple entries may be made on the same screener, as long as each entry is preceded by its own slate of information. Films should be no more than 20 minutes long (under 10 minutes is preferable for programming reasons). For more information or to apply, please visit the scholarship provider's website.
