Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes

Half of the winners have focused on helping their communities and fellow beings and the other half have focused on protecting the health and sustainability of the environment. This could include teachers, librarians, civic or religious leaders, among others. The Barron Prize relies on thoughtful adults to identify and nominate children from the diverse communities in which they live. The Prize accepts nominations on an annual basis and distributes $2,500 awards every fall.
