Don D. Jordan Scholarship

The CenterPoint Energy Don D. Jordan Scholarship (formerly Chairman's Fund) was established to provide recognition to students who have shown a consistent dedication community involvement. This scholarship recognizes those students who have been motivated by their families to help others and invest in their community. In addition, it reinforces the corporate philosophy of community support. An applicant must be the legal dependent of an employee of CenterPoint Energy. The employee must be active, retired, deceased (while in service or retired), or receiving benefits from a long-term disability plan of the company. In addition, such employee or former employee must have or have had at least two years of service with the Company by January 1 of the year the dependent is applying for the scholarship. Recipients must be 22 years of age or less by August of the semester for which they receive the award and must be working toward an undergraduate degree or completion of a recognized course of study at an academically accredited institution and be in good scholastic standing.
