David A. Hicks Memorial Scholarship
The David A. Hicks Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005 by colleagues, friends, and family members who wanted to pay tribute to his life. David died from cancer in 2005. He was first diagnosed while a freshman at Mount Anthony Union High School. In spite of his illness, David lived his life fully; he was a generous friend and a hard-working colleague whose actions and deeds consistently demonstrated his integrity, loyalty, and commitment to serve others. This scholarship was established to help students who have overcome hardship in their lives (including illness) or who face significant barriers that limit their access to post-secondary education.
Eligibility: - Attend an accredited school approved for federal Title IV funding (Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS loans) - Have graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School or West Rutland High School (preference given to applicants who have overcome hardship in their lives, including illness, or who face significant barriers that limit their access to a post-secondary education) - Seek a bachelorâs degree - Demonstrate financial needFor more information, please visit our website.
