Corinne Jeannine Schillings Foundation Summer Study Abroad Scholarship

The Corinne Jeannine Schillings Foundation is dedicated to preserving the memory of Corinne Schillings by providing a living legacy through education. Eligibility/submission materials:-Complete the application-Provide a letter of recommendation from a Girl Scout volunteer or staff member who is not a relative. The letter of recommendation must be written within the past six months, specifically for this scholarship. Only one letter will be accepted-Write an essay-Show proof verifying receipt of the Girl Scout Silver or Gold Award-Provide a transcript showing the applicant is a full-time student, in good standing, progressing toward a degree, and with at least an overall GPA of 3.0-Send proof that you have been accepted to an accredited study abroad programEssay: In an essay, not to exceed 5 pages (typed, 12 pt. type, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, numbered pages), answer the following: 1. Who are you? (You must include, but are not limited to your interests; experiences that have shaped who you are; impact of Girl Scouting on your life; activities outside of Girl Scouting)2. Why have you chosen to study abroad? What do you hope to get from the experience?3. Why have you chosen your major and minor?4.
