Cheryl D. Conkling Memorial Scholarship

In spite of Cheryl's lifetime physical hardships of gamma globulin anemia and hearing loss, she acquired a love of education and music and excelled in them. Cheryl was a brilliant student and graduated Summa Cum Laude in college. The scholarship, named in her honor, is to support students who have overcome physical hardships and have a demonstrated love of education.Scholarships are provided to graduating high school seniors. Preference will be given to students with hearing or other physical impairments, financial need, and students from Windsor, Colorado; Conroe, Texas; and Wilkinson County, Mississippi. To maintain the scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum 2.0 overall GPA each semester. At the end of eachsemester, the recipient will provide the Foundation with an official transcript and proof of full-time enrollment for the next semester.
