CalCPA Fresno Chapter Scholarship

The Fresno Chapter of the California Society of CPAs is proud to announce its Scholarship Award Program. Scholarships will be awarded to students with a declared intent to pursue a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Funds will be awarded at our annual Student Night in September. Eligibility:-Student will be transferring into the following schools: California State University, Fresno; Fresno Pacific University (if transferring, student must show proof of acceptance to either school with the intent to pursue a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting)-Student will be continuing in one of the following schools: State Center Community Colleges (Fresno City College, Reedley College, Clovis Community College, Madera Center, or Oakhurst Center), Porterville Community College, West Hills College, College of the Sequoias-Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA-Submit transcripts (if transferring, student must have completed Accounting 1A or its equivalent, and have completed 60 units. If continuing at a junior college, student must have completed 24 units)-Applicants must be members of CalCPA (membership is free)-Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residentsApplicants must prepare a written essay of 500 words (or less) utilizing the theme: "Describe why you have an interest in an accounting career.
