Berlack/Astle Memorial Fast Skier Award

World Cup Supply (WCS) is pleased to offer the 8th "Fast Skier" Junior Alpine Scholarship Award, now renamed the Berlack/Astle Memorial Fast Skier Award. The award is intended to provide assistance to USSA U16 athletes who exhibit the personal characteristics required for success both on and off the hill. Each winner will receive a minimum cash prize of $1,000 and an assortment of ski race products and swag. As a requirement of the selection process, each applicant must submit a letter of no more than one typed page detailing the following:-Your future goals in skiing-Any involvement with the sport of skiing outside of racing-What the scholarship fund will be used for and its impact on your family, should you be the recipient-Your overall approach and philosophy towards skiingEach applicant must supply one (1) letter of reference; this letter should be from a past or current coach/clubmanager who has known you for a minimum of twelve months from an adult outside the world of ski racing. Please include a phone number and e-mail address with each letter of reference. Academic standing: Please enclose a copy of your most recent report card from school. Include a brief statement describing your future educational goals.
