AJLI Scholarship Program to Study in Israel

The purpose of the program is to foster Jewish spiritual and cultural values through the experience of living and studying in Israel and, at the same time, strengthen the ties that bind Jews in the United States to Jews in Israel so that upon returning to the United States, scholarship winners will be better able to communicate those ties to American Jewry. The University Scholarship Fund of the American Jewish League for Israel is a scholarshipprogram to assist students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents to study in Israel. Eligibility is limited to any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who has been accepted for at leastone year of academic study only at one of the following institutions in Israel: -Bar Ilan University-Ben Gurion University of the Negev-Haifa University-The Hebrew University of Jerusalem-The Interdisciplinary Center at Herzliya-The Technion-Tel Aviv University-The Weizman Institute of Science Scholarship awards are applied toward one year’s tuition. The funds will be sent directly tothe institution and will be credited upon the student’s matriculation.
