About Hillsdale College

Founded in 1844 to educate all students regardless of race or sex, Hillsdale College is a private, nonsectarian Christian, classical liberal arts college located in southern Michigan. With 35 majors linked together by a core curriculum grounded in the pursuit of truth, a student’s heart and mind will be fully prepared for any career or graduate work that they pursue. United by an Honor Code, students prepare for self-government and virtuous living in a campus community that respects and cares for one another. Students can get involved outside the classroom through participation in more than 100 student organizations and programs, including the opportunity to spend a semester in Washington, D.C., or a number of foreign countries. Social highlights of the year include all-campus events such as Homecoming and the President’s Ball, as well as countless others.
